We’ve found that the best way to learn a language is to speak it from day one! And the best way to start speaking is to learn phrases that you’ll use in real conversations.
In this lesson, we’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question “What's the matter?” After watching this video, you’ll be able to make complaints and ask someone else if they’re having any issues.
Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases!

V kanceláři je horko.

Je všechno v pořádku?
“What's the matter?”
V kanceláři je horko.
“The office is hot.”
First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What's the matter?”
That's: Je všechno v pořádku?
Listen to it again: Je všechno v pořádku?, Je všechno v pořádku?
“What's the matter?”
This Czech sentence literally translates into "Is everything all right?,” but it means “What's the matter?” in English.
Now, how do you answer this question?
The pattern is:
V kanceláři je {adjective}.
“The office is {adjective}.”
This Czech sentence literally translates into "In the office is [adjective]. ,” but it means “The office is [adjective].” in English.
For example:
“The office is hot.”
