Hi Me,
thanks for your comment. We are happy that you decided to go through the unit 1 after all. And yes - the English phrase "I rest" means "odpoฤรญvรกm". "Spรญm" would be "I sleep".
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Cheers,
Anna

I've done some Duolingo and probably could've skipped to unit 2, but decided to try unit 1 just for review and to make sure I had all the vocabulary that was expected for part 2.
So far, the biggest surprise is that last one wasn't "spรญm"
Dear Laurie and Martin,
thank you both for your comments. I am sure you understand the difference between words "crawl" and "climb" as original English words. Czech translation of both of them is "lรฉzt", maybe there would be the only better translation (depending on the sentence) of the word climb and it would be "stoupat", if you would like to see the difference. Both has very similar meaning, but its not anyhow distinguished in Czech as it is in case of English and maybe other languages.
Have a nice day,

Ahoj,
Mame dvakrat "Lezu", je to spravne? Dekuju.
I agree that this is not "extensive reading." As an absolute beginner, I don't expect much, but some very simple sentences would be nice. It might especially give context for the fact that lezu means both climb and crawl. Is it sentence structure that makes the difference?
Dear Nicole,
thank you for your feedback, we will try to do something about it. In the meantime, the easiest way to look up the declensions/conjugations of words is here: https://cs.wiktionary.org/wiki/

I wish it listed the infinitive form of the verb and showed the different conjugations. ๐ It's really hard to look up otherwise.
