Jennifer: Here's the way to say 'I don't have a pen.' in Czech.
Martin: [Normal] Nemám pero.
Jennifer: First is a word meaning 'I don't have'
Martin: [Normal] nemám [Slow] nemám
Jennifer: Last is the word meaning 'pen'
Martin: [Normal] pero [Slow] pero
Jennifer: Listen again to the phrase meaning 'I don't have a pen.'

Martin: Negative sentences can be created in Czech quite easily. You just need to add the prefix ne- in front of the verb, which gives it a negative meaning.
