Michael: This is Must-Know Czech Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 7. In this lesson, you'll learn Idiomatic Expressions Related to Animals.
Michael: Let's take a look at some classic, old-fashioned idioms that are still very much used in the Czech Republic today.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Michael: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Veronika: dělat opičky
Veronika: nebýt labuť
Veronika: dělat z komára velblouda
Veronika: být jako myška
Michael: Veronika, what's our first expression?
Veronika: dělat opičky
Michael: literally meaning "to make monkeys." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to make faces."

Michael: literally meaning "to make a mosquito out of a camel." But, when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to exaggerate."

Michael: Use this slang expression when you want to express that someone exaggerates something.
